The Achilles Morpho
Scientific Name:  Morpho achilles
Common Name:  The Achilles Morpho
Native Location:  South America
Description:  Unlike many Morphos, this species is not totally blue. Bright blue bands are highlighted by black bands to either side. This is true for both males and females. The underside is also notable (click here for a photo), being a much darker and full chocolate brown. They are strong fliers on both sunny and cloudy days.
